Jewish Scriptures (Prophecies) about the Messiah- fulfilled by Jesus (Yeshua)-born in Bethlehem, taken to Egypt, raised in Nazareth of Galilee

The Jewish Scriptures, written centuries before the birth of Jesus, foretell the coming of a Jewish Messiah of DIVINE origin, who would be put to death and bear our sin:

"...in the future He will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-...For to us
a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And HE will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, EVERLASTING Father, Prince of Peace."(Isaiah 9:1,6 NIV) "they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined...For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name is called Pele-joez-el-gibbor-Abi-ad-sar-shalom;"(Yisheyah 9:1,5 JewishPS)

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose
ORIGINS are from of old, from ANCIENT times."(Micah 5:2 NIV) "But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from ancient days."(Micah 5:2 Jewish PS)

"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one
like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language WORSHIPPED Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."(Daniel 7:13-14 NIV) "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of days, and he was brought near before Him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."(Daniyel 7:13-4 Jewish PS

Yisheyah 48:12-16: 12. Hearken unto Me, O Jacob, and Israel My called: I am He; I am the first, I also am the last..... 16 Come ye near unto Me, hear ye this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the L-rd GOD hath sent me, and His spirit. (tri-unity)
8. For so says LORD of Hosts: He has sent me after glory, to the nations who stripped you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye. 9. For behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall be a prize for their servants. And you shall know that LORD of Hosts has sent me.
"Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high.
My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God;
on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend." Job 16:19-21

"The LORD(YHWH) says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."(Psalm 110:1 NIV) "HaShem saith unto my lord: 'Sit thou at My right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.'"(Tehilim 110:1 Jewish PS)

"I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are
my Son; today I have become your Father. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."(Psalm 2:7-8 NIV) "I will tell of the decree: HaShem said unto me: 'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee. Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession."(Tehilim 2:7-8 JewishPS)

"See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly,
the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come" says the LORD Almighty. (Malachi 3:1NIV) "Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall clear the way before Me; and the L-rd, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to His temple, and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith HaShem of hosts." (Malachi 3:1 Jewish PS)

"in that day,.. all the nations of the earth are gathered against it(Jerusalem), I will make Jerusalem a stone of burden for all the peoples...in that day, I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem...they will look unto ME because they have thrust HIM through; and they shall mourn for HIM, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for HIM, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born."( Zechariyah 12:3,9,10 JewishPS)

"It is too small a thing for you to be my servant, to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept.
I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth. This is what the LORD says- the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel- to him who was despised and abhorred by the nations, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel , who has chosen you...I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives,'Come out,' and to those in darkness,'Be free!' (Isaiah 49:5-9 NIV) "And now saith HaShem that formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, and that Israel be gathered unto Him..I will also give thee for a light of the nations, that My salvation may be unto the end of the earth. Thus saith HaShem, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him who is despised of men, to him who is abhorred of nations, to a servant of rulers: kings shall see and arise, princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of HaShem that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee... I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; Saying to the prisoners: 'Go forth'; to them that are in darkness: 'Show yourselves'; they shall feed in the ways, and in all high hills shall be their pasture;(Yisheyah 5-9 Jewish PS)

(Moses said)..."The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your
own brothers. You must listen to him...The LORD said to me: "What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the prophet speaks in My name, I myself will call him to account."(Deuteronomy 18:15,17-19 NIV)"A prophet will HaShem thy G-d raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;...And HaShem said unto me: 'They have well said that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him."(Devarim 18:15-19 Jewish PS)

"A shoot will come up
from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD-and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked....In that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious...He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth."(Isaiah 11:1-4,10 NIV)

"The days are coming," declares the LORD,"when I will raise up to David a
righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. (Jeremiah 23:5-6 NIV) "Behold, the days come, saith HaShem, that I will raise unto David a righteous shoot, and he shall reign as king and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and THIS is his name whereby he shall be called, HaShem is our righteousness."(Yermiyah 23:5-6 Jewish PS)

"The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against His
Anointed One. "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then He rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath, saying, "I have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill....Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for His wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him."(Psalm 2:1-6,12 NIV)"Why are the nations in an uproar? And why do the peoples mutter in vain? The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together, against HaShem, and against His anointed: 'Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.' He that sitteth in heaven laugheth, the L-rd hath them in derision. Then will He speak unto them in His wrath, and affright them in His sore displeasure:

'Truly it is I that have established My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.'(Tehilim 2:1-6 Jewish PS)

"You brought a vine out of Egypt...it sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far as the River...watch over this vine, the root Your right hand has planted, the son You have raised up for Yourself...Let Your hand rest on the man at Your right hand, the son of man You have raised up for Yourself."(Psalm 80: 8, 11, 14, 15,17 NIV)

"He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; He will crush the oppressor. He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations... In His days, the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more...The kings of Tarshish and of distant shores will bring tribute to him; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him gifts....May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him; and they will call him blessed."(Psalm 72:4-5,7,10,17 NIV) "May he judge the poor of the people, and save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor. They shall fear Thee while the sun endureth, and so long as the moon, throughout all generation..In his days let the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. May he have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth..The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts..May his name endure for ever; may his name be continued as long as the sun; may men also bless themselves by him; may all nations call him happy."(Tehilim 72:4-5,7-8,10,17 JewishPS)

"See, my servant will act wisely; he will be
raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him-his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness...But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed...He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth... he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."(Isaiah 52:13,14;53:5,9, 12 NIV) "Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high. According as many were appalled at thee...so marred was his visage unlike that of a man, and his form unlike that of the sons of men..But he was wounded because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his stripes we were healed. All we like sheep did go astray, we turned every one to his own way; and HaShem hath made to light on him the iniquity of us all..as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before her shearers is dumb; yea, he opened not his mouth..And they made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich his tomb; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth...My servant, who by his knowledge did justify the Righteous One to the many, and their iniquities he did bear...he bared his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."(Yisheyah 52:13,14; 53:5-7,9,11-12 JewishPS)

"Here is my servant, whom I uphold...He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets...in
his law the islands will put their hope...I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind..."(Isaiah 42:1,2,4,6,7 NIV) "Behold My servant, whom I uphold;..I have put My spirit upon him,..He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street...He shall not fail nor be crushed, till he have set the right in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his teaching...and set thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the nations;...To open the blind eyes,"(Yisheyah 42:1,2,4,6,7 JewishPS)

king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing."(Psalm 22:14-18 NIV)
"I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint;...My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my throat; and Thou layest me in the dust of death. For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me;..I may count all my bones; they look and gloat over me. They part my garments among them, and for my vesture do they cast lots."(Tehilim 22:15-19 JewishPS)
